New and exciting changes are happening around here! The Projectory now has a Facebook page, so please go on over and click “Like” for updates, new posts, and outtake pictures that will probably more often than not feature Abel-the-dog.
And secondly, I am thrilled to announce that I am now offering consulting services for your DIY projects! Need help figuring out what color to paint that wall and where to put a couch? Have a dresser that does the job, but doesn’t fit with your decor? Your hallway needs something, but you’re not sure where to start? I can help!
When I started blogging here at The Projectory in 2010, it was mostly a repository to keep track of all my small projects. As my projects have grown in scope, I’ve been pleased and surprised by the requests I’ve gotten from friends for design input. I’ve put a lot of thought into what it would look like to offer those services on a wider scale, and I’m so excited to move forward with this venture.
My design philosophy is a two-pronged approach: minimal input for maximum effect, and dream undertakings. The ombre starburst wall epitomizes the former; I was able to transform that corner of the apartment with very little time or resources. Building the bednook was a project at the other end of that spectrum that required significant time, labor, and materials. It was a project that thrilled and consumed me, that I daydreamed about, that I needed to bring into fruition. I believe in undertaking a plethora of small and easily accomplished projects, as well as a couple of the large scale projects that will help your space reach its maximum potential.
As a consultant, I can help you identify those small projects, figure out the steps needed to tackle the big ones, or help you come up with a combination of both. I know as well as anyone that big dreams frequently come with small budgets, but a design consultation doesn’t have to be out of reach!
If you have a project in mind, please get in touch! I can’t wait to work with you.
